What I've been up to...read along!
1. I've been busy planning the PINK! Young Women's Leadership Conference! I know you haven't heard much about this, and perhaps I should devote an entire post to it...but for now, here's a tidbit. It's a conference hosted by my school, put on by my non-profit targeted towards girls in grades 6-12.
What I envisioned as an audience of 50-100...maybe 200, has quickly grown to 500!!! Humbling to say the least! It's in April by the way, and I'm hoping to catch you up to speed before then!
2. Doing projects for my principal as an intern.
3. Schoolwork...yuck!
4. Cheer practice...when will it end?!
5. Traveling
6. Preparing to present at the AP Conference in Philly next month. About that: I seriously DO NOT belong in a league with the other presenters. So unqualified...pray for me!
7. Answering phone calls from my cousin using the Tango app...she's obssessed, and apparently she thinks I'm cool because she calls almost daily...but it's so cute!
8. Pre-planning for Malitta's bridal shower and bachelorette part in NOLA!
9. Eating tuna and taco soup...LOL!
10. Cutting back on sweet tea.
11. Working on holding my tongue...this is SO hard!
12. Getting excited about the warmer temps! Cut sandals and wedges, skirts and dresses, and a really great tan!
13. Balancing my life a little more. I'm still working hard on this one because I am really SO busy. I know I say that a lot, and I actually thrive off of the busyness, but a little lull would be nice!
So...now you know what I know!!!

First Week of School!
I'm back...are we starting to notice a trend here....that hopefully will soon change.
It's always a little awkward when I re-enter the blogging world. There has been so much that has gone on, and I don't know how to catch everyone up, but I promise I will do my best!
First of all, school has started, and the kids are back in full effect! I must admit though, this year is going so well. Not just the fact that my kids are still in the honeymoon phase, but my schedule is perfect, I end my day with cheer...what more could a girl as for?! I only teach 4 English classes a day, one cheer class, and two planning periods....I'm loving it!
Things have been so busy around here....I hope that those words don't become the norm for my life, rather, I hope that even when I'm tired, that I will try to have fun, and do things that don't revolve around stunts, football season, or excited high school girls!! So far, I've done a really good job, so I'm patting myself on the back!
First on my list is to become a better blogger....I really like going back and reading what my life was like in the midst of myself...LOL! I'm vowing in September to get my life together, and well you know...blog about it...that just may be a tall order to fill, but a girl can wish can't she?!
In other news...my first school weekend was a success. I co-hosted Amanda's shower on Saturday morning, went to a football game Saturday night, and crashed around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, I saw the movie 'Takers!' It was delicious....Idris Elba's accent...oh.my.word!!! Seriously ladies...it was so sexy!
After the movie, I caught lunch, and then treated myself to a much needed manicure, pedicure, and brow wax! Then...picked up a pair of pants and a dress at the Gap, and headed to Target to grocery shop for the week....fun, relaxing weekend!!!
Now, it's early Monday morning, and I'm gearing up for another busy week of school....I'll catch you gators later!

Lo Siento...
I think this means 'I'm sorry' in Spanish. It has been a while since I've posted, but I promise I have valid reasons.
I have been running like crazy for the past 2 weeks, and while at least I am back in Houston, I am far from resting!
So...what have I been up to you ask? Well, summer cheer practice started with a bang, and then I had my family reunion on my father's side. I went down that morning, and came back that evening because I left for cheer camp the very next day...and that's where I've been for the past four days. I'm exhausted to say the least, but the firls did so well, and they had a blast.
I will post more tomorrow, Taviea's wedding shower is this weekend, and I'm hosting with Malitta, so there will be many more stories to share!
Hope you all are doing well.. ~

A Doozie of a Day turned GREAT!
I try not to have bad days...I feel that life is way to short to mope around for an entire 24 hours, but today was a doozie. Not the entire day, but certainly enough of it. I'll spare you the details, but with the TAKS test 2 weeks from today, this English II teacher is on the edge! I want my kids to do well, and they just don't seem to share my sense of urgency....pray for us ALL!
I will post these pics though. It was one of the highlights of my day! I came home and crashed on the couch.....only to be interrupted by the UPS man! Now, to be honest, I couldn't remember what I had ordered, then...I saw this label...
Excitement set in as I remember my Valentine's gift to myself!
I couldn't wait to lift that little lid...
Oh Tory...how I love thee!!! In case you're wondering...the bestie called me from work to tell me that these beauties were on sale! Great timing and GREAT shoes!
I hope you all have a great Thursday! The kids come late tomorrow, and our girls are playing in the play-offs....pray for them!

Crazy Busy Week, and 365 Project!
I was doing so well, and then life happened! I've been so busy this week. The cheerleading squad travelled to San Marcos last weekend for their competition, and I literally haven't had a chance to catch my breath since!
I would post a picture of my home...and how neglected it is....but I won't...let's just say, I know what I'll be doing this weekend! Speaking of posting pictures, I'm going to participate in the 365 project. If you haven't heard about it, it's where you post one picture that you've taken a day on your blog...kind of like a catalog of your life for an entire year. This seems like a daunting task, but I think I'll enjoy it. It'll be great to reflect back after the year is up, and see what I did in 2010!
With that said, I'll be back later with a pic later today! In the meantime, I'll leave you with this. It's SO cloudy here, and a coldfront is supposed to arrive tonight, so I'm desperately wishing it were Spring already. Without the rain of course!
