A Doozie of a Day turned GREAT!

I try not to have bad days...I feel that life is way to short to mope around for an entire 24 hours, but today was a doozie. Not the entire day, but certainly enough of it. I'll spare you the details, but with the TAKS test 2 weeks from today, this English II teacher is on the edge! I want my kids to do well, and they just don't seem to share my sense of urgency....pray for us ALL!

I know I promised to do a giveaway, and to post pics from my trip to Little Rock, but I'm a little behind on schoolwork...(as I type away on this post)! I promise to do them this weekend, along with laundry, cleaning my home...you don't EVEN want to know, homework, and on top of that, a jam packed weekend schedule! I'm tired just thinking about it! I'm already looking forward to my Sunday afternoon nap!

I will post these pics though. It was one of the highlights of my day! I came home and crashed on the couch.....only to be interrupted by the UPS man! Now, to be honest, I couldn't remember what I had ordered, then...I saw this label...

Excitement set in as I remember my Valentine's gift to myself!

I couldn't wait to lift that little lid...

Oh Tory...how I love thee!!! In case you're wondering...the bestie called me from work to tell me that these beauties were on sale! Great timing and GREAT shoes!

I hope you all have a great Thursday! The kids come late tomorrow, and our girls are playing in the play-offs....pray for them!

Dad, Shopping, Tory Burch, and Cheesecake!

This weekend was a great time, and it's not even over! Friday night after the girls' basketball game, (we won by the way in double overtime), I headed out to Amerigo's with some of my JL friends. I had a good time, and some random guy kept looking at me...(VERY WEIRD), and to get my attention, he threw something at me. I mean, is this how we approach women in 2010 fellas? He was harmless, but it really was weird! Here is a pic from the night.

Saturday, I got up and headed to the gym. I twisted my left knee, so it has been aggravating me, but I'm sure I'll survive! I came home, and got ready for my Dad to arrive. I always love it when he comes to visit. We have such a good time together. Both of my parents LOVE Pappadeaux's, so of course that is where we went for lunch. I wish I had pictures, but I didn't take any!

After lunch, we headed to The Galleria for a little bit of shopping! Well, I did the shopping, and my Dad held the bags! He said he wanted to seem like he was doing something productive...HA! It was a good day people....Tory was good TO ME!!! Is anyone else as obssessed with Tory Burch as I am? Here's what I brought home...

Don't you just love them? I know I do! I'll have to wait a few months to wear the flip-flops...it's not quite the season yet, but I've envisioned the outfits...HA!

And of course no trip would be complete without some CHEESECAKE!!! AND, they had my favorite flavor...pineapple upside down cake....pretty much the best non-chocolate dessert E.V.E.R!!!

It was a great weekend, I loved spending time with my Dad...can you tell that I'm a Daddy's girl? I'm proud of it too!
